Thank you for visiting our website.
Hopefully it will give you an insight into Waverton Evangelical Fellowship, who we are, what we believe and a flavour of what we do, both here in Church and in the wider community.
WEF (as we like to call it) is a Christian church, but that doesn’t mean you have to feel you are a Christian to visit us, we welcome people of all faiths and non to join with us on a Sunday.
We are situated in the village of Waverton which is about four miles East of the City of Chester. Our address and Post Code can be seen opposite.
If you are wondering what Christians believe, a good summary, called the Apostles Creed (creed simply means 'I believe') can be read here. Apostles Creed.
As Christians, we meet on a Sunday to worship God together, encourage each other in our faith through the Holy Spirit and listen to what God has to say to us through the teaching of his words in the Bible.
Our main family service on a Sunday morning is at 10.30am. There are creche facilities and children's activities from pre-school up to sixteen. There are usually about a hundred people in the congregation and we are made up of a collection of ordinary people of all ages. Our services are not 'formal', but relaxed with a friendly atmosphere.
We always end our service on a Sunday morning with tea, coffee and occasionally cake! This gives us an opportunity to talk with each other.
There is another service on Sunday evening that starts at 6.30pm. This is usually a quieter, more traditional service with a smaller number generally attending.
If you are thinking about going to Church, or wondering what Christianity is all about you would be more than welcome to join with us and it would be great to see you.
